Wesley James

Wesley James is a prolific artist. He wants a million dollars and is quick to tell you so. When he comes to class he wastes no time in getting right to work. His style is distinct as he covers pages after page with repetitive line drawings of birds, animals or houses. These images are then filled in with colored pencil or water color. Sometimes he uses simple words in his art such as  hot, not, doot, repeating them as part of a pattern. But there are times when Wesley takes a totally different direction, filling the page with one large image heavily colored and textured with layers of oil pastel. This is also a style distinct to him. When asked what he like most about NCA Wesley responds, “I like my friends. Art. Give me a million dollars!”
